LOCAL SECRET BAR | Bar Design
Local, the place you don’t expect
On the first floor of an old building, passing through the back of Battisti and climbing a narrow spiral staircase, you arrive at what the owners like to call a Secret Bar. The small round liberty style windows, overlooking one of the most beautiful little squares in the historic center of Piacenza, made the soul of the project clear right from the start.
A room wrapped in blue
The main room of Local unfolds beneath vaults painted in a deep blue, framing the round liberty style windows and giving the sense of a secluded refuge above the square below. Here a wooden bookshelf, leather armchairs and a brass counter come together, pieces of vintage furniture that give the venue a familiar, almost domestic feel.
A mosaic of textures and colors
Next to the blue room, a niche covered in colorful geometric tiles houses an orange velvet armchair and a brass floor lamp, composing a corner that stands apart from the rest of the venue while keeping the same attention to detail.
A painted forest for a different mood
Through an archway, guests reach a second room, where wallpaper depicting a forest wraps the walls and accompanies wooden tables lit by pendant lights, offering a visual experience entirely different from the other spaces in the venue.
The atmosphere of Local
We wanted to create the right atmosphere for listening to jazz music with soft lights, white candles and the scent of cinnamon and powdered sugar, so that no one would feel like going home. After all, isn’t this exactly what you expect from your favorite place?
