Integrated Lighting Design for a Contemporary Residential Interior

Giulia contacted us during the renovation of her beautiful home to help her develop a lighting concept that would enhance the overall interior design. We strongly believe that lighting design is a fundamental part of the spatial and emotional experience of a residential project, not merely a technical necessity, just as important as furniture and materials.

Light Integrated Into the Architecture

We created a lighting system fully integrated into the clean and linear architecture of the space, using custom-cut ceilings and recessed wall lighting to generate a soft, continuous glow. This approach allowed us to shape an atmosphere that is both functional and evocative, emphasising the home’s geometry and elegance.

This project demonstrates how residential interior design and architectural lighting can work hand in hand to create a refined, tailored living environment. Anyone wanting to discover another residential project can also explore our Casa Regino project.

Light that adapts to daily life

A residential lighting project has to work differently through the day, bright and functional in the morning, softer and more intimate in the evening. The recessed details and custom-cut ceilings we designed for Giulia’s home were built with that flexibility in mind, allowing the same architecture to feel entirely different depending on the moment and the mood. Working within an existing renovation also meant respecting decisions already made elsewhere in the home, from the layout to the choice of finishes. The lighting concept was designed to complete that vision, reinforcing the architecture’s geometry instead of adding a separate layer on top of it. Every fixture placement responded directly to the existing structure, treating light as an extension of the architecture rather than a purely decorative addition. The result is a home where light quietly supports daily life without ever calling attention to itself, enhancing the spaces with discretion.
