Hermès Paris – Window Display Concept
Creative proposals for the Hermès flagship windows in Paris
This concept design project for the Hermès windows in Paris was built around the idea of wind as a constant voyage.
Starting from this image, we developed two distinct proposals, each translating a simple idea into a strong visual gesture for the storefront.
Scarves that take flight
The first proposal turns the house’s iconic silk scarves into large sculptural pinwheels, suspended in the windows and throughout the store interior. Each pinwheel is built from a single scarf, folded and fixed around a central axis so that its pattern reads as a continuous, spinning composition.
Grouped together in flocks of different sizes, the pinwheels animate the windows and drift into the store itself, creating a sense of movement that carries through from the street to the display tables inside.
A message in a bottle
The second proposal explores the image of a message in a bottle, with an installation imagined for the storefront windows, resting on a bed of sand. The bottle becomes a narrative device, evoking travel, distance and anticipation, themes that connect naturally to the idea of the wind as a constant voyage.
From concept to storefront
Both proposals were developed to work at the scale of the Hermès flagship windows, balancing sculptural presence with the precision and craftsmanship the brand is known for.
This project reflects our broader approach to window and visual merchandising design, where a single idea is translated into a coherent visual language across the whole storefront.
