Making a Difference

You know that feeling when you’re holding someone else’s dream in your hands?

That’s exactly what happened the first time Thomas and Nevena walked into our studio. From their eyes and their words, we understood immediately that this wasn’t about designing just another venue — we had to give shape to their vision for life.

Anetho was born from the hearts and minds of these two remarkable people, life partners and parents of two wonderful children. Thomas is well known in the local hospitality scene for his professionalism and dedication — something we witnessed firsthand on opening night, when an extraordinary crowd gathered for a bar in a small provincial town.

The Project: From Clothing Store to Bar with Kitchen

The space that now houses Anetho was previously a clothing shop: no layout suited for hospitality, no bar counter, no bathrooms, no kitchen. Around 100 sqm to be completely reimagined.

We worked on every level: new layout, systems and utilities, flooring, bathrooms built from scratch, and all custom-designed furniture, including the bar counter. A full-scope intervention that gave us the freedom — and the responsibility — to build a coherent spatial identity from the ground up.

The Concept: Modern Bistrot with an Oriental Touch

We were looking for a warm, welcoming atmosphere, a space that could surprise without being loud. A modern bistrot with a subtle yet distinctive oriental inflection.

The boldest choice and the one that most defines Anetho, is the rust-coloured ceiling: a strong chromatic decision that visually lowers the space, warms it up, and creates an intimacy rarely found in newly opened venues. Everything else was built around that colour: materials, lighting, furniture.

The result is a place that draws you in the moment you arrive, and keeps bringing you back.
