Pink House: Interior Design for a Countryside Villa

Pink House is set in the countryside just outside Piacenza, in a two-storey villa overlooking the surrounding landscape. The project began with the owner’s trust, which gave us the freedom to develop a personal and distinctive identity for every room in the house.

Colour and Character in Every Room

Dusty pink and terracotta walls run through the ground floor, from the living room to the dining area, furnished with a large petrol green velvet sofa and a rug with a bold red and white circular pattern. Floral wallpaper and a cactus print bring a lively, personal touch to the bathrooms and passageways throughout the house.

Natural Materials and Tailored Details

Upstairs, the bedrooms combine exposed wooden beams with slatted wood headboards and bathrooms finished in marble and white tiles, creating a balanced dialogue between the warmth of natural materials and the colourful character of the rooms below.

A house built on trust

A project like Pink House only works when the client is willing to take a few risks with colour and pattern, and here that trust made all the difference. Moving from the dusty pink and terracotta walls of the ground floor to the exposed wooden beams upstairs required a consistent hand, so that each room could have its own personality without ever feeling disconnected from the rest of the house. The floral wallpaper and cactus print in the bathrooms and passageways work in the same way, as small, playful details that tie the whole villa together rather than isolated design gestures. That same trust also shaped smaller decisions along the way, from the choice of a bold red and white rug in the living room to the marble finishes chosen for the upstairs bathrooms, each one reinforcing the personality established from the very first room.
