LUPPOLERIA | Bar Design
A venue rooted in a neighborhood undergoing change
Luppoleria is located in a neighborhood of Piacenza that has undergone a profound sociocultural transformation over recent years. The strong presence of different cultures and ethnicities initially led part of the long-standing residents to withdraw from the public spaces of the area, a phenomenon that the project chose to address with careful attention rather than overlook.
A project now in its third management
The venue that today houses Luppoleria has reached, with this intervention, its third management, a detail that shows how much the space is already part of the memory of the neighborhood. In developing the project, Vanda Designers chose to work on the integration of elements that, at first glance, seem difficult to bring together, blending styles, colors and suggestions from different sources into a single coherent environment.
Three colors that define the space
The whole project revolves around three main colors, mustard yellow, petrol blue and cherry red, which alternate across walls, seating and furniture details. This color combination accompanies the path through the venue, from the area with the cherry red tables through to the rooms with petrol blue walls, enriched with hanging plants and warm lighting.
A patchwork wallpaper that tells different stories
In some areas of the venue, the walls are covered with a hexagonal patchwork wallpaper that brings together different textures and colors in a single composition. This detail visually echoes the theme of integration that runs through the whole project, showing how different elements can coexist while composing a unified pattern.
Sharing and exchange as guiding words
Sharing and exchange are the words that best summarize the spirit of Luppoleria, translated concretely into communal tables, sofas designed for socializing and a chalkboard wall where proposals and messages are written. Books also find their place inside the venue, in a small library that invites the exchange of stories as much as words.
A place that blends styles without losing identity
Every part of Luppoleria, from the exposed brick counter to the corners with mirrors and decorative busts, contributes to telling an identity built through layers, where different styles coexist without cancelling each other out. The result is a venue that reflects the complexity of the neighborhood it belongs to, translating it into color, materials and atmosphere.
