Luppoleria: Bar and Restaurant Design that Blends History and Innovation
The project of The Luppoleria is a prime example of thoughtful bar and restaurant design, aimed at creating a space that reflects the cultural diversity of the neighborhood while offering a welcoming and engaging environment. The first location, opened a year ago, was inspired by a mix of styles, colors, and stories to encourage integration and connection.
A Custom Extension for a Unique Experience
From the same vision came the new extension of the space. While the goal remains the same—to foster inclusion and connection—the narrative here is different. Through the door linking the two areas, guests step into a fresh experience with a new visual identity and story.
Every piece of furniture was custom-designed to fit the old, imperfect walls, turning architectural constraints into design opportunities. This approach reflects our philosophy in commercial design: honoring the history of the place while introducing a completely innovative concept to Piacenza.
Retail and Bar Design Strategies
The design strategy for The Luppoleria goes beyond quick visits. The space is carefully planned so guests can stay for several hours and feel at home. Comfort, atmosphere, and brand identity are seamlessly combined to create an immersive environment. Plants play a starring role, animating the space and interacting with diners, enhancing the sense of warmth and hospitality.
A Concept Beyond Design
The Luppoleria demonstrates how retail design and restaurant design can merge with marketing strategy and storytelling. The project is more than a beautifully designed interior—it is a complete in-store experience that encourages social interaction, strengthens the brand, and creates lasting memories for every visitor.
